Restorative Nursing
Restorative nursing assures each resident maintains the highest quality of life possible. Nurses work with rehabilitation therapists to design restorative nursing programs on an individual basis. The goal of a restorative nursing program is to achieve and maintain optimal physical, mental and psychological functioning.
A program is developed for each individual to enhance his/her quality of life through ambulation training, range of motion exercises, amputation/prosthesis assistance and activities of daily living training such as walking, transferring, eating, bathing, toileting and dressing.
